Moss wall with milled letters.

A circular moss artwork with floating letters.

How it is made: step by step, in our own studio.
01Milling the letters
We draw the letters digitally and mill them from a wood-effect sheet using a CNC router. This gives each letter a clean shape and a warm, natural appearance.
02Making the backing
The circular backing is made to measure and finished in black. It blends into the moss, leaving only the greenery and letters visible.
03Applying the moss
The moss is applied by hand, tuft by tuft, for a full, natural appearance. We leave small gaps for the fixings where the letters will sit.
04Mounting the letters
Each letter is mounted on a spacer that passes through the moss layer. The letters sit just above the moss, appearing to float.
05Finishing and checking
We check the edge of the work and remove glue residue and loose moss.
