Acoustic ceiling grid.

Colourway
Orange acoustic slats forming waves across the ceiling

A grid of slats that softens reverberation from above.

The slats slot together to form one large grid suspended from the ceiling. Colour-matched to the space and set overhead, it leaves the floor clear.

How it is made: step by step, in our own studio.

  • 01Preparing the design

We draw each slat in a digital cutting file. We check the slot dimensions beforehand so the grid fits together to the millimetre.

  • 02Laying the sheet flat

The sheet goes onto a cutting table that holds it firmly by suction. We set the machine precisely so every slat has the same dimensions and shape.

  • 03Cutting out

An oscillating blade cuts each slat individually, including its wave-shaped edge and slots. We work at a steady pace to prevent stretching or distortion.

  • 04Finishing by hand

We remove small offcuts by hand, then check every cut edge, removing loose fibres for a clean finish.

  • 05Trial assembly in the studio

We assemble one section of the grid in the studio, without glue. This lets us check that all the joints fit snugly and the whole assembly hangs straight before it goes to the client.

  • 06Packing with care

The slats travel flat and bundled, labelled by grid section. This prevents bending in transit and makes assembly on site straightforward.
